Commissioned by the Arkansas Bandmasters Association in celebration of their 50th Anniversary.

Composed during the Winter of 2024, its premiere performance by the River Valley Community Band will take place in July 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas during the annual ABA convention.

This pastoral overture is written in ABA form . It opens with a short fanfare followed by a faster Allegro section. A short development section leads to an exciting recapitulation and coda to close out the overture.
